Reviewed this tire with 2000 miles on them ... now have 18,500 and 2 winters. These tires have performed beautifully and are not going anywhere soon. I'll keep them!
Use is mostly highway/city, with some off road but nothing crazy. Mostly dirt roads in the Adirondacks. First winter season was a 8ish but this 2012-13 winter I give them a 10 (they got better and I got use to them). These tires and the 4runner walk through light and deep snow with ease ( on ice I would recommend caution with any tire - drive for conditions). Tires are still quiet and provide a smooth ride on highway every time. No leaking or any issues. No balance issues. Religiously rotated (hey, when your pay this kind of money for tires you better take care of them).
I give these tires an A+ and a 10+ and will not hesitate to purchase similar Michelin's again. You will not be disappointed if you have a 4runner and you purchase these tires.
