We went from a 4wd Jeep to a 2wd Jetta the day before we got our first big snowfall of the season. Blizzak WS70 tires on my Jetta took me places in snow I would go to only in my Jeep. It gave my wife a level of confidence of driving I have never seen in her before in her 15 years of winter driving. There is a lot of talk about the tire being loud, which I don't find it to be a loud tire. Regardless, if it was or gets loud, it would be the trade off of having superior traction in harsh environments. The tires handle the wet and standing water very well. The steering response is good, but not great. Another trade off for having superior traction when you need it. -you don't buy winter tires for steering response, you buy them for traction in the worst environments. Amazing tire.
