No question a must in winter, I have owned other makes of winter tires, admittedly different vehicle, and there no comparison. Most folks think if you have a 4 X 4 you don't need winter tires, trust me huge difference and I drive throughout Northern Ontario. Tires perform great on fresh deep and light snow and on hard pack snow and ice, on cold dry days tires are not loud and corner well and seem to wearing great so far. Put a set on my wife's vehicle she could not believe the difference.
